LAKE COMO -- Although St. Patrick's Day has passed nearly 500 people had good reason to wear their colorful pleated garments as part of the Kilted Run/Walk to raise money for the annual St. Patrick's Day parade in Belmar and Lake Como.
That 2-mile run organized by Gio Giaquinto, was in its third year and although it is a timed race it is considered a fun run according to Giaquinto.
Colin Bennett, of New York, NY, won the men's 2 mile race with a time of 12:37 and Kimberly Williams, of Cream Ridge, NJ, won the women's 2 mile race with a time of 13:54.
