1 minor injury reported after driver hits light pole, police say

MIDDLETOWN -- One person suffered a minor injury in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning, police said. 

Deputy Chief Steven Dollinger said in a email that a vehicle crashed into a light pole near the intersection of Route 35 and County Route 7, or Palmer Avenue. 

One person suffered a "minor injury," Dollinger said. 

The crash, which happened at around 1:24 a.m., shut down Route 35 but the roadway has since reopened to traffic, the deputy chief added. 

No additional information was available Sunday morning.
