Sarah Stern was last seen Friday, shortly before the car she was driving was discovered abandoned
NEPTUNE CITY -- The Monmouth County Crime Stoppers program is offering a reward of $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in connection with the disappearance of a 19-year-old woman last week.
Sarah Stern left her home in her grandmother's 1994 Oldsmobile 88 shortly before midnight Friday. The car was found parked and abandoned near the Rt. 35 bridge in Belmar at 2:45 a.m. Saturday.
An air and water search was conducted Saturday for Stern, an aspiring artist who attended Brookdale Community College for a year. The search was called off around 3 p.m. and she was not located.
Anyone with information is being asked to call 1-800-671-4400, or text "Monmouth" plus the tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters remain anonymous.
