MANASQUAN -- There was no going to sleep early in Manasquan on Saturday night.
The seashore community showed it takes its championship celebrations as seriously as it does its football.

A procession of 18 emergency vehicles, fire trucks, ambulances, police cars -- representing communities from Belmar to Brielle -- led the Manasquan football team on a celebratory ride through town after a 42-6 victory over Bernards at Kean University.
Ambulances from the Manasquan First Aid Squad escorted the team buses down the Garden State Parkway.
The other 17 emergency vehicles were waiting for the team buses at the South Wall Fire Company at the intersection of Route 34 and Atlantic Avenue. Residents and fans lined Main Street at the impromptu parade cruised to the beach and then back to Manasquan High at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night.
Participating in the procession were emergency vehicles from the Manasquan, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights, Belmar and Brielle volunteer fire companies.
Head coach Jay Price, himself a Manasquan volunteer fire fighter, won his first sectional title in his sixth season as head coach.
It was the 12th sectional championship for Manasquan -- its 11th in Central Jersey. It was Manasquan's first sectional title since 2008.
Legendary and late Manasquan head coach Vic Kubu won 10 sectional crowns.
Conor Morgan and Thomas Meyer scored two TDs each for Manasquan, which finished 10-2.
