BRADLEY BEACH -- The U.S. Coast Guard was searching for a swimmer who was reportedly swept out to sea off Bradley Beach Saturday night, an agency spokesman said.
Crews responded around 7 p.m. to reports of a 31-year-old man in the water, according to Coast Guard spokesman Seth Johnson. The agency launched boats from Shark River and Manasquan along with a helicopter from its Atlantic City air station.
The man had not been located as of around 11 p.m., the spokesman said. A Coast Guard cutter was continuing search efforts through the night.
