HOLMDEL -- Three township residents are accused of stealing nearly $30,000 from their victim's bank account, police said.

The arrests, announced in a press release sent to news outlets on Sunday, came after a three-month investigation by the Holmdel Police Department.

On June 11, police were notified after someone reported having banking issues with a checking account and credit card, Lt. Michael Pigott of the Holmdel Police Department said.

A look at the victim's bank records showed the person was missing approximately $29,000 between two Bank of America accounts, Pigott said.

With the assistance of the Bank of America Fraud Unit, Holmdel Detective Eric Hernando was able to identify three suspects after reviewing surveillance camera footage from the location where the alleged fraud occurred, Pigott said.

On Monday, police arrested Steven Molok, 25, police said. He was released pending a court appearance. Kristi Carbone, 28, was arrested on Tuesday and was also released pending a court appearance, according to police.

Anthony Carbone, 24, was charged at the Monmouth County jail where he was being held for an unrelated incident, police said.

All three were charged with various theft, forgery and fraud offenses.
