TINTON FALLS -- A man was hospitalized after he was hit by a trailer while he was crossing the street in Tinton Falls on Thursday, authorities said Friday.

Larry Krogman Jr., 27, of Jackson, was hit by the trailer attached to a 2001 Dodge Ram truck driven by Alexander Brunner, 28, of Ocean Township, at 8:44 a.m., said Tinton Falls police Capt. David Scrivanic.

Scrivanic said Brunner was driving south on Hope Road when Krogman walked into the street and was hit by the trailer.

Krogman was rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune where he was listed in stable condition, Scrivanic said.

The Tinton Falls traffic safety unit is investigating the crash, he said.

Assisting Tinton Falls police were MONOC, Ocean Township police and the borough's Office of Emergency Management and Emergency Medical Services.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Tinton Falls Sgt. Joseph LoPresti at 732-542-3400, ext. 621 or Patrolman Christopher Duncan at 732-542-3400, ext. 465.
