Police said none of the injuries was life-threatening.
LONG BRANCH -- Seven people were hurt, none seriously, in a 3-car collision in Long Branch on Sunday night, police said.
The accident occurred at about 8:30 p.m., at the intersection of Joline and Branchport Avenues, said Lt. Craig Spencer of the Long Branch Police.
The seven injured were taken to a local hospital for treatment, although none of the injuries was life-threatening, Spencer said.
"Bumps and bruises, the usual thing," he said.
Joline is the local stretch of Route 36, a busy thoroughfare of the Jersey Shore, and Spencer said the intersection with Branchport is a particularly busy one, with the accident occuring just as the sun was setting on a busy weekend at the city's beaches. Spencer could not provide details of how the accident happened or whether any summonses were issued.
The scene was cleared after about an hour, he said.
