The state's debt service aid percentage would equal 40 percent of the annual debt service due with respect to the final eligible costs of the projects.

In Ocean County, the Eagleswood Township Board of Education is also asking voters to approve two bond proposals Tuesday.

The first proposal is requesting more than $2.8 million for various site improvements and renovations at Eagleswood Township Elementary School.

The second proposal, which would also only go into effect if the first proposal is passed, is requesting nearly $1.6 million for the building of an addition to the Eagleswood Township Elementary School and other improvements.

If both bond proposals are approved, the Eagleswood Board of Education would be authorized to undertake $4,393,010 in building and site improvements, as well as a building addition to the Eagleswood Township Elementary School.  Debt service aid from the state will be at a rate of 40 percent of the project's eligible costs.

Meanwhile, the Board of Education in Island Heights will ask voters to approve a bond proposal for nearly $3 million in various improvements and renovations at the Island Heights Elementary School.

If the bond proposal is approved, the district would appropriate $2,992,252 for school district capital improvements, all of which is eligible to receive school facilities aid through debt service aid.
