COLTS NECK -- Authorities have identified the two people killed and a third person who was hospitalized after Wednesday morning's crash on Route 18.
Apolinar Guerrero, 39, of Piscataway, and Juan Sanchez, 51, of Bound Brook, were both passengers in a commercial line-striping truck when it overturned into the grass median on the northbound side of 18 between the interchanges for routes 34 and 537, said Charles Webster, a spokesman with the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
Both Guerrero and Sanchez were ejected from the truck and were pronounced dead at the scene, Webster said.
The driver of the truck, Nicolas Denis, 23, of Elizabeth, was taken to an area hospital where he remains in stable condition, Webster said.
The truck was owned and operated by Bound Brook-based Straight Edge Striping.

The first 911 call came in at 6:15 a.m. and the northbound side of Route 18 was closed until 3:30 p.m.
Northbound traffic was detoured off exit 19A in Colts Neck, which caused delays on Route 34. At 7:30 a.m., traffic just north of 19A was in a complete standstill for miles. Motorists could be seen getting out of their cars and talking to one another.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART) and the Colts Neck Police Department are handling the investigation.
Officers from Marlboro and Tinton Falls assisted in controlling traffic near the crash.
