Why caused the rattling in South Jersey on Thursday? Maybe it was aliens? Or the Kool-Aid man? Watch video
Something rattled South Jersey on Thursday.
Residents throughout the southern half of the state wondered at first whether the rumblings were caused by an earthquake but the U.S. Geological Survey said that's not what happened and attributed the tremors to a sonic boom.
Though skeptics remained after that announcement, the U.S. Navy has now said it was conducting routine tests off the East Coast that may have resulted in sonic booms.
As the professionals were sorting out exactly what happened, many people took to social media to offer up their own theories of what was behind the rumbling.
Was it the results of aliens? Or maybe is was Godzilla?
