LONG BRANCH -- The blades of a replica windmill at an iconic Jersey Shore hot dog stand fell Monday evening.
No injuries or damages were reported in the incident at the WindMill restaurant, which occurred around 9:30 p.m., the restaurant's owner, Steven Levine, said.
"We'd like to thank all our friends for the many kind words we received last night," Levine said in a Facebook post.
He said the restaurant will be open for business on Tuesday.
Long Branch police did not immediately know if weather cause the windmill blades to fall, CBS reports.
The National Weather Service reported wind gusts up to 30 mph in the area at the time of the incident.
The same blades that fell stood strong for 50 years before falling victim to Hurricane Sandy. They were just replaced in October.
