PHOTOS: Event in Asbury Park spreads holiday cheer with songs, food

The event at the Trinity Church Soup Kitchen featured visits from the Grinch, Frosty and Santa, live musical performances and volunteer elves, who served everything from food to hugs.

ASBURY PARK -- More than 200 people got meals and much more on Christmas Eve as part of the nonprofit group Holiday Express's annual event.

McLone's Asbury Grille donated food for the event.

The nonprofit Holiday Express "delivers music, food, gifts, financial support and friendship to those with the greatest need for the gift of human kindness," the organization said in a news release.
