MANASQUAN -- The two men who died when their boat capsized off the Manasquan Inlet on Friday afternoon have been identified as Philadelphia residents.

One of the victims, Alex Osadchy, 66, was pronounced dead at the scene after rescue teams worked to pull him and six other passengers on a pontoon boat out of the Atlantic Ocean, according to the New Jersey State Police.

The second victim, Grigory Klokishner, 74, died at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, State Police said.

The two men were aboard the pontoon, which was between 30 and 35 feet long, when it capsized at the mouth of the Manasquan Inlet just south of where they had been fishing earlier in the day, according to police and witnesses.

State Police said a large swell capsized the boat, throwing all seven men aboard into the ocean.

Autopsies for the two men are scheduled for Saturday.

U.S. Coast Guard officials said the water temperature was 53 degrees at the time. Surfers and several boaters in the area came to the victims' aid before Coast Guard and State Police rescue boats arrived on scene. Also helping with the rescue and recovery was a dive team from the New York City Police Department.

Witnesses said the men on the pontoon were fishing off the coast of Manasquan before heading to the inlet where one large wave turned the ship sideways and a second capsized it.
