An 18-year-old Ocean Township man was charged with theft after he allegedly stole the donations box from the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
HOLMDEL - An 18-year-old Ocean Township man was charged with theft after he allegedly stole the donations box from the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
On or about Nov. 20, the cash donations box at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Vietnam Era Museum and Educational Center was stolen, police said.
According to court documents, between $1,200 and $1,500 was enclosed in the donations box, which was located in the lobby of the Vietnam Era Museum and Educational Center, when it was stolen.
Bujon Russell, 18, of Ocean Township, was later charged with third-degree theft in connection to the stolen donations box, police said.
His bail was set at $7,500.
