Garrie Lee Logan was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, Boca Raton police told PalmBeachPost.com. Logan had been staying with the friend he attacked, police said.

The friend asked Logan to step outside to calm down during the dispute, but Logan allegedly struck the man in the head with a cooking pot when he returned, according to the report.

Logan then picked up a glass shard from a stove that broke during the altercation and threatened to kill his friend, police told PalmBeachPost.com.

The resident of the apartment was stabbed in the hand while fending off the attack, the report said.

Logan is held on $5,000 bail at the Palm Beach County jail, according to online records.
