MANASQUAN -- Authorities have identified the woman killed Wednesday when her car veered into the path of an oncoming garbage truck in Manasquan.
Nancy L. Rees, 78, of Manasquan, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Route 71.
Rees was traveling south on Route 71 in her 2013 Volvo crossed the center line of the road at 11:11 a.m. and went into the northbound lane and hit the truck, authorities have said.
