WALL -- Police are searching for two men who they say held up a 29-year-old New York man near a storage facility Monday night.

A Staten Island, N.Y., resident was approached by two men around 11:35 p.m. near the Wall Storage North facility on Route 34, Wall police Chief Robert Brice Jr. said in a news release.

One of the men, who was holding a black handgun, demanded the victim give him his wallet and money, Brice said.

The victim complied, Brice said, and the two men fled the area on Route 34 in a four-door black Hyundai sedan. Brice did not say how much cash the two men allegedly stole.

Police described one of the men as a tall and skinny black male who is approximately 30 to 35 years old. The victim estimated his height is around 6 feet and said he had a thick, dark beard, had on a black, long-sleeve pullover sweatshirt with a hood over his head and a big belt with a nickel-colored belt buckle.

The second man was described as a heavy-set black male, who was also approximately 30 to 35 years old and had a thick, dark beard that was longer on the chin. He was wearing a skullcap, police said.

Wall police Detective Dan Donlon is leading the investigation. Police asked that anyone with information call Donlon at 732-449-4500.

Anyone with anonymous tips can submit them through the Monmouth County Crime Stoppers program.
