A good Samaritan rescued the kayaker
MIDDLETOWN -- A kayaker was rescued Sunday afternoon after capsizing in Sandy Hook Bay, the Asbury Park Press reported.
The kayaker was unable to right the vessel, but a nearby good Samaritan was able to rescue the individual before the U.S. Coast Guard arrived on the scene, the newspaper reported.
The kayaker reportedly sustained no major injuries despite a water temperature of 49 degrees.
