The women were reportedly arrested Wednesday following an investigation into a massage parlor.
LOCH ARBOUR - Two New York women were charged with prostitution-related offenses Wednesday following an investigation into suspicious activity at a Main Street massage parlor, the Asbury Park Sun reported.
The investigation was launched after authorities received reports that Massage Therapy, located in the Deal Lake building, was operating as a house of prostitution, prosecutor's office spokesman Charles Webster told the newspaper.
A tenant in the building told the Asbury Park Sun that the massage parlor operated anonymously with no signs identifying the second-floor business, though the business is listed on the building's main sign outside along with the building's other tenants.
As a result of the investigation and subsequent search of the business, Luan Guihua, 49, of Flushing, N.Y., was charged with promoting prostitution and Jinzhen Yang, 48, also of Flushing, was charged with engaging in prostitution, the report said.
None of the massage parlor's clients were arrested, the report said. Both women were released on summonses pending a future court date.
