Two people smashed the glass front door of Garden State Equality's Asbury Park office on Saturday, NJ 101.5 reported.

ASBURY PARK -- The Jersey Shore office of LGBT rights group Garden State Equality was vandalized Saturday while its director was inside, NJ 101.5 reported.

The group's executive director, Christian Fuscarino, told NJ 101.5 that he had been inside the office preparing for an event when two people smashed the building's glass front door, where a rainbow flag was draped.

Garden State Equality, whose litigation resulted in New Jersey's legalization of gay marriage in 2013, announced a move of its primary operations from Montclair to Asbury Park in July 2016, saying its existing office wasn't inclusive as it was only accessible by stairwell.

The report said the vandalism was captured on surveillance footage, according to Fuscarino.

Anyone with information about the vandalism has been asked to contact the Asbury Park Police Department at 732-774-1300.
