NEPTUNE TOWNSHIP -- An armed bandit wearing a ski mask robbed a restaurant in Neptune Township on Tuesday night, authorities said.

Township police are looking for help in identifying the man who robbed the Dragon Garden Chinese restaurant on Route 33 at gunpoint, said Neptune police Capt. Michael McGhee.

McGhee said a man dressed all in black - including a full black ski mask pulled over his head - went into the store around 8:20 p.m.

Pointing a revolver at one of the employees, he followed the worker into the kitchen where two of her co-workers were, McGhee said.  The man forced her to take an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and hand it over to him before he ran off, McGhee said.

The man was dressed in dark clothing, gloves, a dark hooded sweatshirt, full ski mask and dark glasses, McGhee said.

Monmouth County Sheriff's Office K9 units responded to help try to track the robber, he said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Neptune Township Detective Erick Amadruto at 732-988-8000, ext. 419 or leave anonymous tips through Monmouth County Crime Stoppers at 800-671-4100. Tips can also be texted to "Monmouth" and 274637.
