The Seman Tov bus company is under fire due to allegations that its buses are unsafe to be on the road.
ASBURY PARK - The Seman Tov school bus company is facing allegations of unsafe conditions on its buses, according News 12 report.
David Johnson, a former Seman Tov driver, told News 12 that he walked out on his job on Wednesday because of the conditions of the buses he was asked to drive.
One of the buses had no headlights, the other had one headlight and bad brakes, Johnson said, adding that he felt it was unsafe for the buses to be on the road or for children to be riding on them, the report said.
News 12 also obtained pictures from a Bradley Beach mother that appear to show the driver of her daughter's bus texting while driving. The mother filed a complaint against the driver and the case is due in court in December.
An attorney for Seman Tov told News 12 that the company checked the driver's phone records and no calls or texts were made on the route.
