Christy Keronen was found dead Wednesday morning in her friend's Jackson home, authorities said
JACKSON -- The 29-year-old woman who was found dead in a Jackson home on Wednesday was full of ambition and loved by everyone she knew, her brother told NJ Advance Media on Thursday.
"She's the type of person who would give you the shirt off her back," CJ Keronen wrote in an email. "(She was) always thinking of others before herself."
Authorities say Christy Keronen was found dead after police went to the Jackson home of Tyree Johnson, who was found hanging from the bucket of a Comcast truck in Holmdel. Keronen, who had been reported missing by her brother earlier in the day, was found dead with head trauma, authorities said.
CJ Keronen said Johnson, 23, was in love with Christy but she wanted to keep the relationship platonic. He said he's not exactly sure how the two met but that it was more than a year ago.
"Christy had admirers, but never did I think it would come this far," he said.
Authorities have not yet released a motive in the deaths but they say initial indications point to it being a case of murder-suicide.
CJ Keronen said he and his sister did "everything as a team," supporting each other their entire lives after their mother died nearly a decade ago.
"We have been living together, we work together, take care of our elderly father together," he said.
Christy was ambitious, her brother wrote, and didn't have a single enemy. She always put other people first before herself.
Christy had dreams of owning her own cleaning company, CJ Keronen said.
Many friends took to Facebook on Thursday to offer their condolences to the Keronen family.
"She was a beautiful young lady," one woman wrote. "No words can express what you and your family are going through. Tragic. I am sorry for your loss."
"Christy will always be remembered for her big heart & great laugh," another woman wrote. "She was always the warmest & sweetest person."
CJ Keronen said on Facebook Thursday that funeral arrangements had yet to be made.
