The alleged burglary spree involved 17 Monmouth County businesses in 25 days.
FREEHOLD - A Freehold man and Toms River woman were indicted for their roles in the burglaries of 17 businesses throughout Monmouth County earlier this year.
Isiah Casrell, 29, faces 17 counts of burglary, nine counts of theft and six counts of criminal mischief. Between March 12 and April 5, Casrell broke into 17 business throughout Monmouth County after regular business hours, often stealing hundreds of dollars from the cash registers, the indictment charges.
Rachel Lovely, 34, was Casrell's alleged accomplice in several of the break-ins, authorities said. She was indicted on eight counts of burglary, five counts of theft and four counts of criminal mischief.
According to court records, the crime spree involved the following businesses:
- March 12 - El Salon in Ocean Township
- March 16 - Mr. Goodlube and Boston Market in Shrewsbury,
- March 19 - Distinctive Toys in Fair Haven
- March 19 - Stakul's Spirit Shop, Nicole's Many Stylez Hair Salon, Lukoil, and Ice Cream on 9, all in Howell
- March 20 - Bella Nails in Manalapan
- March 21 - Raceway in Marlboro
- March 24 - Cream Ridge Country Market and Liquors in Upper Freehold
- March 25 - Citgo in Colts Neck
- March 26 - Essence Nail and Spa in Howell
- March 30 - Sunoco in Holmdel; Colts Neck Pizza in Colts Neck; Carluccio's Italian Deli in Marlboro
- April 5 - Holmdel Village Pharmacy in Holmdel
Casrell was still being held in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold Township on $200,000 bail as of Tuesday morning, according to jail records.
