Ocean Township police say four men bound up workers at an AT&T store while robbing the store at gunpoint.
OCEAN TOWNSHIP - Township police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying men they say robbed a Route 35 store at gunpoint Tuesday night.
Shortly before 8:50 p.m., Ocean Township police officers responded to the AT&T store on Route 35 for an armed robbery.
When police arrived, they found two store employees who told officers their hands had been bound behind their backs by four men and they were led to the back room of the store, police said.
Two of the robbers had handguns, police said.
The suspects then took an undisclosed amount of cash and electronics from the store before fleeing in a dark-colored sedan, possibly a Mercedes, police said.
The employees were able to free themselves after the men left the store.
The investigation was ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Ocean Township Police Criminal Investigation Bureau at 732-531-1800 or the detective bureau at 732-531-1428.
