Wilson, who graduated from N.J.'s Neptune High School in 2012, was eliminated after placing third in her 800 semifinal heat.
N.J.'s Ajee' Wilson narrowly missed advancing to the women's 800-meter final when she placed third in her semifinal heat on Thursday night at Olympic Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Needing to finish in the top two to advance to the final, Wilson, a 2012 graduate of N.J's Neptune High School, crossed the line in 1:59.75, just .16 behind second-place finisher Francine Niyonsaba of Burundi (1:59.59).
Wilson, second in the 800 at the 2016 World Indoor Championships, came into these Olympics with high hopes for contending for a medal.
