The GoFundMe page was started by an uncle of Kaden Frederick
HOWELL -- A relative of a young boy killed in a Maryland boating accident Wednesday has started a GoFundMe page on behalf of his family.
Kaden Frederick, 9, fell off a rented pontoon boat while vacationing with family in Ocean City. He was critically injured when he was repeatedly struck by the propeller.
Two nurses, two off-duty state troopers and an EMT on a passing tour boat in Sinepuxent Bay all rushed to the boy's aid along with first-responders dispatched to the scene, but he succumbed to his injuries.
Kaden's uncle, who started the online memorial fund, said the boy "loved life, football, his parents, siblings and friends."
A donor who identified himself as Kaden's soccer coach described him as a "great boy" and said that his family was "heartbroken" by the news.
