HOWELL -- A 19-year-old Manalapan man died Friday night after he was thrown from his motorcycle as it crashed with a car in Howell, authorities said.

Randall Arvai was rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune after the crash but could not be revived after suffering serious injuries, Howell police said Saturday in a press release.

Arvai was traveling south on Route 547 near Hurley Pond Road on his 2009 Yamaha motorcycle when he collided with a 2001 Lexus operated by Robert Hanlon Sr., 76, of Brick, police said.

Arvai was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries, the release said.

On his Twitter page, Arvai described himself as an international karting driver. His Facebook page says he went to Manalapan High School and studied at Brookdale Community College in the Lincroft section of Middletown.

Hanlon, his wife and a 13-year-old juvenile in the car were not injured and declined medical attention, police said.

Howell police Officers Peter Hochhauser and Scott Brooks and Howell police Cpl. Riaz Motani are conducting the investigation along with Monmouth County Prosecutor's Detective Eric Kerecman. Authorities said no charges have filed  so far.
