More than 150 acclaimed tattoo artists are expected to take part in the annual festival in Asbury Park.
ASBURY PARK - Hundreds of already inked up bodies and others looking to get their first tattoos, will descend on Convention Hall this weekend for the 7th Annual Visionary Tattoo Arts Festival.
More than 150 acclaimed tattoo artists will be tattooing on site throughout the weekend for the popular annual festival, which is more than just a tattoo convention, as it proudly also showcases an array of edgy entertainment options.
The three-day festival is scheduled to kick off at 2 p.m. Friday, July 29 with scheduled events that include: burlesque acts, aerialists, suspension performer and the Tattoo of the Day Contest
On Saturday, the longest day of the festival, the fun is scheduled start at noon and run until midnight, with entertainment in between that includes Miss Asbury Park Pinup Contest, burlesque, suspension and aerialist performers, and tattoo contests.
The Visionary Tattoo Arts Festival concludes on Sunday with midget wrestling, tattoo contests and the "Best of Show" Tattoo Contest.
