Come for the voodoo shrimp, pure magic dished up daily by chef Drew Araneo, three-time James Beard Foun-
dation
 nominee for best regional chef. Although Jersey native Araneo works in the mid-Atlantic region, his heart belongs to Gulf Coast and low country cuisines.

The menu at his Keyport eatery changes daily, with rotating pork and fish specials. Expect immense portions of cajun and creole-inflected dishes. His takes on shrimp and grits, gumbo, etouffee and jambalaya are authentic and elegant. The sizable southwestern Caesar salad and seasonal macaroni and cheese starters are always winners.
