A staggering 50 food trucks will be at the Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival at Monmouth Park this weekend.
The Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival, formerly known as the Jersey Shore Food Truck Wars, was the first large-scale food truck event in the state when it made its debut at Monmouth Park back in 2012.
This year, they're really pulling out the stops, with 50 trucks scheduled to be at the three-day festival, from Saturday, May 28, through Memorial Day, May 30.
Trucks include Ahh! La Cart, Amanda Bananas, Chilango's, Cupcake Carnivale, El Lechon de Negron, Empanada Guy, Five Sisters Catering, Fork in the Road, Oink and Moo BBQ, Pizza Vita, Red Hook Lobster, Surf and Turf, The Outslider and Waffle de Lys.
There will be something for everyone food-wise: burgers, seafood, barbecue, ice cream, falafel, pizza, cheesesteaks and much more. Here is what each truck is offering.
On Sunday, I'll be there all day with the Munchmobile. Look for the van with the giant hot dog on top and come over and say hi!
Gates open early at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. Sunday is family fun day with free pony rides, face painting and a bouncy house.
Admission to Monmouth Park Racetrack is $5 at the gate. Children 12 and under are admitted free.
The track is located at 175 Oceanport Ave., Oceanport. For more information, visit monmouthpark.com.
