BRICK TOWNSHIP -- A 34-year-old Bloomfield man was killed Wednesday morning after his car crashed into a UPS truck on the Garden State Parkway, police said.
Anthony Romano was driving a Ford Edge around 5 a.m. when he crashed into the rear of a UPS truck on the southbound side of the Parkway near milepost 92, said Sgt. Jeff Flynn, a New Jersey State Police spokesman.
Flynn said Romano's Ford flipped over multiple times, and he was thrown from the car.
Romano was pronounced dead at the scene, Flynn added. The driver of the UPS truck was not injured.
No charges were filed as a result of the crash, Flynn said. The incident remains under investigation.
