LONG BRANCH - Investigators were at the scene of a reported bank robbery on Brighton Avenue on Monday morning.
At approximately 9 a.m. authorities were called to the Chase Bank at 160 Brighton Avenue after a man with a weapon robbed the bank, Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Charles Webster said.
At 10:30 a.m., the bank's parking lot was still blocked off with police tape as investigators and a police K-9 could be seen in front of the bank.
No other details about the robbery or the suspect were released at that time.
