Two men were hospitalized early Sunday morning after being shot in Asbury Park.
ASBURY PARK - Two city men were hospitalized early Sunday morning after being shot on Bangs Avenue, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.
Shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday, Asbury Park police officers responded to the 1000 block of Bangs Avenue for a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found evidence of gunfire but no victims were present, the prosecutor's office said.
While officers were at the scene, police received information that two gunshot victims - both 23-year-old males from Asbury Park - had been take to a local hospital.
The men, whose names were not released, were listed in stable condition as of Sunday evening, authorities said.
The investigation remained under investigation and no arrested had been made as of that time.
